Handyman-Inside has just become one of the first members of the newly formed UK Guild of Handymen.

Having been a handyman for many years Dean Livingstone has always been held in high regard by his customers. Now having guild membership means both existing customers and potential new ones can be more certain they are using a handyman who really measures up. 

Gaining membership to the UK Guild of Handymen was not easy and involved having to take an online competency exam designed to test the wide-ranging knowledge and experience of the applicant.

Potential members are further vetted by requiring to show they have received at least three independent positive reviews on a third-party public website (such as Freeindex) and must certify having public liability insurance.

The upshot is the new guild gives the public more assurance that the handymen they engage are not ʻcowboysʼ

The guild's website at guildofhandymen.co.uk provides a simple 'Find a Handyman' tool enabling the public to enter their postcode to locate the traders nearby. While many handymen will be listed here, the public are actively encouraged to use only guild members, who are always listed first, since these will be the traders that can be most relied upon.
